Biography:
Jamie Moakes deals in untruths, half truths, myth and exaggeration. Above all else, he places 'a good story' and goes by the motto “never spoil a good story with the truth”. He enjoys the idea of inspiring and encouraging his audience to take elements of his work away and passing them, on out of context and exaggerated, to the next audience and so on (hoping one day that they might make it back to him).
Jamie has also embarked on a series called 'Learn to Count with Moakesy' which features his Dad but also loosely borrows from his upbringing in general – the title of this series being from a home-video of his Dad on a lads holiday which Jamie was banned from watching as a child, but of course secretly did.
